While scuba diving is primarily about having fun, there is considerable science behind it all. Names you remember from high school physics and chemistry — Boyle, Dalton, Charles and Henry — all played a pivotal role in helping us understand what happens to our bodies under water. Learn the hows and whys behind diving related physics and physiology, oceanography, decompression theory, environmental concerns, marine life and more.
This intellectually challenging class. This is the true beginning of scuba diving leadership. Be able to clearly and concisely answer questions asked by divers old and young.
Whether your goal is to develop the knowledge you will need to succeed as an instructor, or you just want to expand your understanding of your favorite sport, you will discover that this course answers questions you didn’t even know to ask.
