Life on San Salvador is pretty much as unhurried as it ever was. Quiet, friendly and unspoiled, San Salvador offers miles of deserted beaches and lush underwater reefs. The island was “discovered” by divers in the early 1960s and, shortly thereafter, Riding Rock Inn and Marina was built. This was among the first resorts custom designed for dive travelers with all the amenities close at hand.

The diving
Most San Salvador dive sites are located on the island’s leeward side. Dive sites are primarily walls thereby allowing you to choose your depth on every dive. Shark lovers will be pleased to hear that San Salvador is home to many shark species, the Scalloped Hammerhead being everyone’s favorite.
The resort
Riding Rock Resort and Marina is one of only two resorts located on the scenic San Salvador oceanfront. Built, owned and operated by the William’s family since the 1960’s, the resort is and always has been dedicated to the comfort and convenience of water sports enthusiasts. All rooms are air conditioned and offer cable TV, telephone, private bath, porch or balcony, outside drying hooks, tile floors and daily housekeeping.
